On February 25th, 2011, the Charlotte Bobcats will be hosting their 7th Annual Job Fair at the Time Warner Cable Arena at 1:00 pm ending at 4:30 pm. Usually, admission is free for job fairs, but the $25 admission fee includes a ticket to the Charlotte Bobcats vs. Sacramento Kings game at 7:00pm following the Job Fair. There’s also an option to purchase additional tickets for family and friends at a discount of $20 per ticket with purchased Job Fair admission. Companies that are attending the Job Fair are: Levy Restaurants, Hickory Crawdads, Charlotte Bobcats, Atlanta Hawks/Thrashers, Charlotte Regional Visitors Association, Liberty Insurance, and Greensboro Police Department. The University Career Center for Work, Service and Internships which is part of The Academic Services Division of UNC Charlotte is presenting three featured Job Fairs through April of this year. Experimental Learning and Part-time Job Fair is being held in the Cone Center Lucas room on February 11th, 2011 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. For employers, this is a terrific chance to recruit interns and part-time employees. This is also the perfect chance for students to meet and greet with company hiring agents if interested in obtaining an internship or part-time job opportunities. The second Job Fair, Education Fair, scheduled for February 25th, 2011 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm highlights recruiters from about 40 public school systems, charter schools, private schools, and child development centers from North Carolina and the Southeast region. . The Spring Career Expo is slated for April 6th, 2011 from 9:30 am – 3:00 pm. This job fair is being held at UNC Charlotte in the Student Activity Center (SAC) and is only open to UNC Charlotte students and alumni. Students can meet with employers and graduate schools who are looking for full-time employees, interns, and graduate students. On March 3rd, 2011, HBCU is hosting CIAA Career Expo 2011 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina from 9:00 am – 3:00pm. Students and alumni do not have to sign up, but employer and graduate schools can register at www.metrolinacolleges.org . There are over twenty participating colleges some of which include Bowie State University, Johnson C. Smith University, and Wingate University.
