The Canadian Olympic committee receives $45.35 million ($47 million in Canadian dollars) in funding each year for athlete training, according to an article on Bloomberg.com. Canadian Olympic athletes were scheduled to receive an additional $42.7 million (C$44 million) in 2010 and 2011 combined to help build on the gains that produced Canada’s third-place finish in the medal count in the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver.
